It would be great to have that for Pokemon hack games that support it (like Pokemon Liquid Crystal) or Boktai games (there are some IPS patches for those ones, though).I tried out Pokemon Ruby, which allows you to set the clock in game at the beginning.I then left it suspended in the background (it doesnt run while in the bg, so its impossible for it to tick away while suspended).
When I resumed it some minutes later the clock was showing the correct time. What is very intriguing is that Pokemon Liquid Crystal (which is a hack)s RTC works perfectly fine with GBA4iOS but fails in Provenance. I can confirm it works with re-dumps CRC32 without any foreseen problems, which is a more common ROM. The tileset had to be enlarged by 8 and new tiles created to avoid graphical glitches. This fixes the problem of missing andor corrupt tiles appearing in-game. Side question, were you able to get emerald to work Ive tried all of the emerald patches listed in this thread (individually and various combinationsorders thereof) but I always end up with a white screen when trying to boot it from the EZF4. Heres a list of what was modified: - The location of some clocks were moved for the sake of consistency across all versions and for aesthetic purposes. A script event was added to the clock in the Pokemon Center of the Battle Frontier. Clocks are now color coded for each version; green for Emerald, red for Ruby and blue for Sapphire. Emerald Rtc Patch Zip File ContainsThe attached IPS patch files should be applied to the following roms: Pokemon - Emerald Version CRC: 1f1c08fb Pokemon - Ruby Version CRC: f0815ee7 Pokemon - Sapphire Version CRC: 554dedc4 The zip file contains no illegal data. It is up to you to find the tools and roms needed if you are legally entitled to do so. These patches were tested on the VBA-M emulator and GBA hardware with an EZ-Flash IV. Also, for anyone that cares, Emerald gets upset when you edit its existing tiles. I had to enlarge the tileset by 8 and create new tiles to avoid the graphical glitches I was experiencing. ![]() All my editing was done in Advance Map and consisted of creating a new palette and editingmovingcreating tiles. Chaos Rush and windwakr are the reason these patches even exist. But could someone make these patches work for the Pokmon Ruby 2012 version that is quite popular. Its not that huge of a deal, after all, theres some instances in Pokemon Emerald where the FRLG font was snuck in (contrary to popular belief, the standard Emerald font is different from the FRLG font, but the FRLG font is used for some menus) And I did not work on one for the JPN versions, and to be honest I dont want to go through the trouble of it either. Emerald Rtc Patch Update Was OverMaybe I might when Im really bored and have loads of free time But in all honesty I dont see myself going back to these patches again, the last update was over a year ago and its in my mindset that this is done, and has been done for a while. If someone wants to address the problems above, go on right ahead. Its not that hard to edit compressed graphic data, just open the ROM in unLZ and just keep clicking until you find what you want to edit. When I back up the.SAV file using GBA Backup Tool and then restore that.SAV file back on the EZ Flash IV, it tells me that The save file has been erased due to corruption or damage. Regardless of me even touching the.SAV file. ![]() Whats even more strange is, even when I Clear all save data by holding UPBSelect it still comes up, as well as when I initialize the ROMs.sav area. It will only no longer show up when Ive started a fresh new game and saved. Any ideas what may be causing this Ill tinker around with it more soon and hopefully be able to find a solution or more clues. Thanks in advance UPDATE 1: GBA Backup Tool reads the EZ Flash NOR ROM image as 32MB and not 16MB.
